About Us

We're Bowes Animal Hospital, and we're a local Veterinarian clinic here in Elgin, IL. We offer a range of veterinary services, including annual vaccinations, spay and neuter services, heartworm disease exams and treatment, pet teeth cleaning and x-rays, internal medicine, and laboratory diagnostics.

Our staff can help you keep your pets healthy with services tailored to their needs. We offer a complete range of services to help your furry friends live their best life! We're looking forward to growing our business to continue to serve Elgin and the surrounding areas.

Bowes Animal Hospital is a full-service veterinary hospital, servicing the needs of pets and guardians of Elgin, IL, and Kane County. The professional and courteous staff at Bowes Animal Hospital seek to provide the best possible animal hospital services, animal dentistry, affordable spay and neuter services, pet vaccinations, and life stage wellness care, for you and your cherished pet companions. We are proud to be a no-declaw hospital, and are committed to promoting responsible pet ownership, preventative health care, and health-related educational opportunities for our clients. At Bowes Animal Hospital, we treat your pets like the valued family members they are.

We take pride in the customer service we provide our clients. Our services start on the phone, continue at the reception desk, your interactions with our technicians, and finally with our veterinarians. We want your visit to be a pleasant, friendly, informative and helpful one at all times. We are always available to answer any questions you may have and we try to do so, in a timely manner. Our doctors and staff will take the time necessary to ensure that you fully understand your pet’s diagnosis, and to design a customized treatment plan for your pet companion. You can reach us by phone, or drop by and visit with us in person. We will do our best to give you and your pet health care service you can count on!

MEET OUR VETERINARIANS!

Dr. Randhawa has been practicing as a certified veterinarian for over 20 years and in that time, he has owned three different clinics and helped thousands of beloved furry friends. Since he first started, Dr. Randhawa has ensured that every pet leaves his office with its tail wagging, feeling refreshed and as happy as can be. Though he has done hundreds of surgeries, he will never gotten bored of them! Dr. Randhawa is always looking to learn new things, new techniques, and is always excited to do even the most routine surgeries, soft-tissue surgeries, and his favorite, orthopedic surgeries.




Dr. Jain graduated from Veterinary College, India in 2008. He completed his Ph.D. in Infectious diseases (Lyme Disease Pathogenesis) from the University of Central Florida, Orlando, and was awarded Presidential Doctoral Fellowship. He has a special interest in internal medicine, preventive health care, and soft tissue surgeries. Dr. Jain is an active member of the American Veterinary Medical Association. During his Ph.D., his research was focused on gene regulation of Lyme disease bacteria ‘’Borrelia burgdorferi’’ in mice and deer ticks. He has published multiple research papers on Lyme disease pathogenesis. So, If you have any questions regarding Lyme disease pathogenesis, diagnosis, and preventive care for your pets, Dr. Jain would be more than happy to help you. In his free time, Dr. Jain likes to spend time with his wife, dog Noora, and in the fitness center.




Dr Sandeep Kumar graduated in 2004 and his primary areas of interest are disease pathogenesis, internal medicine, emergency and critical care, soft tissue surgeries, geriatric care and pain management, cardiology, gastroenterology, cancer care and holistic medicine and preventive care. He strives to provide an excellent level of client satisfaction and compassion. In his spare time, he likes to spend time with his family and taking care of personal and rescue pets.




Dr Singh is a 2004 graduate who’s special interests include preventative medicine, dental care and soft tissue surgeries. When he’s not spending time time with his wife and children he enjoys fitness and the outdoors, especially trap shooting, hiking and biking. Dr Singh’s compassionate and dedication make him a valued member of our team.

Our first time at Bowes Animal Hospital. We were definitely not happy with the last place we went, and we were able to get in right away with our cat, Ellie. The last hospital barely did anything to help Elie. Dr. Kumar truly got to the root of the problem, and I know that Ellie is going to be much better off after she fully heals from the procedure. He and tech Ish were very gentle and kind to Ellie in the ways that they handled her. Additionally, unlike the last place, it did not feel like they were looking for more little things to charge me for. I was also very happy with the front desk staff when they made the appointment, explained things as we were checking out, and also when I called with a follow-up question. I had been looking to go to our old vet, and it would have been more than 3 weeks to be able to get to where she is now. Frankly, I am so happy with Bowes Animal Hospital that I think we are establish ourselves as ongoing patients. Why tamper with what is working so well?
