He has published multiple research papers on Lyme disease pathogenesis and is an active member of the American Veterinary Medical Association.

Clients value Dr. Jain for his extensive knowledge and ability to design preventive health strategies for their pets. If you have any questions regarding Lyme disease pathogenesis, diagnosis, or preventive care, Dr. Jain would be more than happy to help. In his free time, Dr. Jain enjoys spending time with his wife and staying active in the fitness center.

Sandeep Kumar DVM

Dr. Sandeep Kumar graduated in 2004 and brings over 20 years of veterinary experience to our practice. His areas of expertise include disease pathogenesis, internal medicine, emergency and critical care, cardiology, gastroenterology, geriatric care, cancer care, pain management, soft tissue surgeries, holistic medicine, and preventive medicine.

Dr. Kumar also proudly served in the U.S. Army, where he built upon his skills of discipline, service, and leadership. His passion for veterinary medicine is matched by his compassion for pets and dedication to providing an excellent level of client satisfaction.

One of Dr. Kumar’s special clinical interests is prolotherapy, an innovative and non-surgical treatment option for pets with ruptured cruciate ligament injuries. Prolotherapy involves the injection of a natural solution that stimulates healing and the growth of new connective tissue. This therapy is an inexpensive alternative to traditional cruciate ligament surgery and has shown excellent outcomes for restoring mobility, reducing pain, and improving quality of life in pets. Dr. Kumar has seen firsthand the positive results prolotherapy can bring to both pets and their families.

In his personal life, Dr. Kumar enjoys spending time with his family and caring for personal and rescue pets, always carrying forward his lifelong dedication to animals.

Dr. Baljinder Singh Chouhan, DVM

Dr. Singh earned his degree in Veterinary Medicine from India in 2004. After moving to the United States, he made a lifelong commitment to serve both his country and its animals by joining the U.S. Army, where he began active duty as an Animal Care Specialist (MOS 68T) before later transitioning to the Army Reserve. In 2014, he completed his PAVE certification at Iowa State University and has since practiced as a small animal veterinarian, providing compassionate and high-quality care to pets and their families.

With over a decade of hands-on experience, Dr. Singh is skilled in soft tissue surgery, emergency and critical care, internal medicine, and dentistry, as well as preventive and wellness medicine for all life stages—from puppies and kittens to senior pets. He is dedicated to delivering thorough diagnostics, effective treatments, and gentle patient handling, always striving to ensure the comfort and well-being of every animal under his care.

In 2019, Dr. Singh received his commission in the U.S. Army Veterinary Corps and proudly deployed to Kuwait in 2022, supporting missions in Jordan, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, and Oman. MEET OUR VET TECHNICIANS !

Cassie Brown – Practice Manager & Veterinary Technician

Cassie keeps our clinic running smoothly with her years of tech experience and love for teamwork. She’s passionate about client communication, happy visits, and making sure every pet gets the best care. At home, she enjoys time with her dog Domingo, cat Taz, and Dexter the Crested Gecko.

Destinee – Lead Veterinary Technician

Destinee has been in veterinary medicine for five years and keeps our clinic running smoother than a zooming puppy on tile floors! With experience in both general practice and emergency care, she’s our go-to for calm, comfort, and comic relief. When she’s not in scrubs, you’ll find her out exploring with her husband and their three dogs—Monroe, Delilah, and Scout—or pushing her cats, Ponyo and Mr. Bobinsky, in a stroller (yes, really!) on a coffee adventure.

Ayleen Vazquez – Veterinary Assistant

Ayleen has been a proud part of the Bowes Animal Hospital family for three years, bringing endless energy, compassion, and a genuine love for every creature—big, small, and sometimes even feathered! When she’s not caring for our patients, you’ll find her on her family’s farm surrounded by her three dogs, three cats, a horse, a pig, and even a turkey. She’s fluent in both Spanish and English, making her a friendly bridge for all our clients. Her dream? To one day trade her scrubs for a white coat as a future orthodontist—but for now, we’re lucky to have her bright smile and caring hands here at Bowes!

Sarah Carter – Receptionist

Sarah is the smiling face at our front desk, balancing her love for animals with her studies to become a teacher. At home, her dog Kingston keeps her busy as “chief troublemaker.” She loves greeting every furry friend (and their humans) who walk through our doors.

Kayden Grainge — Receptionist / Veterinary Assistant

Kayden keeps the clinic running smoothly—handling the front desk with a smile and helping doctors and techs in the back whenever needed. At home, he’s surrounded by furry chaos: two cats, a foster kitten named Lark, and Rosie, the family dog who proudly runs the household. Always upbeat, coffee in hand, and ready to make every visit a little brighter!
